At For the Love of Words, writers of all genres gather for the sake of community, discussion, and growth. Every writer hangs words in the perfect position to give space to the world seen within. Only the right words will do and serve that world well. This gathering is for writers and those who love words and feature local authors and writers who present their work and experience and offer an opportunity to meet other local writers.
On Thursday, December 1, Art House Dallas is partnering with The Covenant School to feature quality literary projects from local authors within the Art House Dallas writing community and students from The Covenant School's fine arts program. The evening will begin withtable discussion, move into live readings from our featured authors, and end with an artist reception. Desserts, coffee and wine will be served.

Featured Art House Dallas Writers
Helen Dent
Helen lives in Texas with her husband, kids, and a lovely but hapless cat named Billy. She’s been writing since she can remember. Some notable early examples . . . Chronicles of Narnia meets the Bobbsey Twins and Nancy Drew fanfiction. Now she writes YA and adult stories, most with a touch of fantasy or magical realism.
Maggie Philpot
Maggie enjoys taking far too long to read about ten books all at the same time, getting confused by her own imagination, and staring off into space. She hopes to bring a tiny bit of beauty into the world, reminding herself and others that amidst so much that is bleak there is always infinite fodder for wonder! She recently released “God is Coming,” an advent book for children.
